Working with School Counselors

We work with LAUSD East Region Counselors that serve over 200 schools, from Northeast Los Angeles to East Los Angeles. We meet every month with the counselors to see the needs of the students. We also work with different non profit homeless agencies such as PATH to get housing for the students and their families that are experiencing homelessness. Finding housing for students experiencing homelessness is crucial for several reasons. Firstly, stable housing provides a safe and secure environment, which is essential for a students overall well-being and development. Without a stable place to live, students face numerous challenges in focusing on their education and achieving their full potential. Secondly, housing stability promotes consistency in a students life. Housing plays a pivotal role in breaking down the cycle of poverty, housing offers students a sense of dignity and self worth. It mitigate the stigma associated with homelessness. This is why it's so important to find students housing, and working with different agencies helps us with this goal of finding housing for the students and their families.
